Bird's in my life.

I've had birds only for 2 years now. Jimmy a Gold Capped Conure was my friend Elaine and my first bird. Jimmy is such an engaging smart little bird. He can say 'Hello', 'my name is Jimmy', 'step up', 'give me a kiss', and will respond if you say give me a kiss by making a kissing sound. He's had his run at 'bird agility', and will do a tunnel (through a slinky), and a bird walk. He also knows how to roll over on this back on command. Jimmy will do anything for a sunflower seed, I'm still amazed at how smart this little bird is.

Jimmy is probably a girl Conure, but is the name sake of our favorite singer Jimmy Buffet.

Rico

Rico is a Scarlett Macaw. Anyone that knows the movie 'Captain Ron' may make the name connection. My name is Ron, his name is  Rico, (Captain Ron's name was 'Ron Rico'). Rico, talks a little, says 'Hello', 'step up',' come here', morning, and 'No' (when the dogs are barking), and will give me a kiss (Elaine doesn't trust that beak near her face). Rico is also probably a girl bird.
